Provisional Admission Status
As part of our admissions process, it is important to understand that your admission offer is provisional until the official start of the program.
Turing College reserves the right to revoke the admission decision at any point before the program’s start date if we determine that the admitted candidate no longer meets the standards and expectations of the program. This includes any behaviors or actions observed post-admission that contradict our Code of Conduct and admissions criteria (listed below).
Admission Criteria
The admission decision is based on an evaluation of the following:
Motivation - demonstrated clear motivation for pursuing the program and commitment to learning.
Career aspirations - career goals aligned with the program and related field.
English proficiency - English skills at least at the B1 level (B2 preferred).
Cultural fit - the ability to contribute positively to our self-paced, collaborative, and respectful community.
Digital competency - while specific data or programming skills are not required for the programs, strong computer and digital literacy are essential for success in our programs. Candidates should be comfortable navigating digital platforms and using common computer tools.
Community Expectations and Code of Conduct
Our community values are built on respect, trust, collaboration, and professionalism. As a learner, you will be part of a diverse and supportive environment where there are no traditional teachers, but senior and junior team leads, other peers. Cooperation and respect are fundamental to success.
Our Code of Conduct includes the following principles:
Respecting and trusting each other.
Offering constructive and relevant feedback.
Helping each other and resolving conflicts in a positive and professional manner.
Engaging in decision-making processes when appropriate.
Zero tolerance for gossip, bullying, or harassment.
Candidates who fail to uphold these principles during the time between admission and program start may have their admission offer revoked.
Reasons for Revoking Admission
The decision to revoke admission is taken seriously and is based on actions or behaviors that violate the expectations set out in our Code of Conduct and/or admissions criteria (listed above). Examples include (but are not limited to):
Displaying disrespectful behaviors and communication that are inconsistent with the collaborative and respectful environment at Turing College by any means of communication (email, phone call or etc.).
Providing misleading or inaccurate information during the application process.
Demonstrating inadequate English communication skills or otherwise being unable to effectively participate in the program.
Insufficient digital skills that prevent active participation in the online learning environment.
Difficulty adapting to the flexibility of our self-directed learning approach. Those requiring strict guidelines or discomfort with subjectivity may struggle, which could be evident during the documentation or pre-program communication stages.
Revoked Decision
Turing College may revoke admissions decision after further assessment of the candidate's fit for the program. In such cases, a formal notification email will be sent, and the admissions will be voided.
We are committed to ensuring a fair and inclusive learning environment and want to build a community of learners who are fully prepared for the journey ahead.
