🎥 Why does Turing College use a video response step in the admissions process?

We use VideoAsk as part of our admissions process to better understand applicants’ goals, motivation, and expectations, while keeping the process flexible and time-efficient.

1. Is this a live interview?

No. This step is fully asynchronous.

You will see a short pre-recorded introduction from our Admissions team and respond to a few structured questions at your own pace.

There is no live interviewer.

2. What response formats are accepted?

You may respond in whichever format you feel most comfortable with:

  • 🎥 Video

  • 🎙️ Audio-only

  • ✍️ Written text

We assess clarity of motivation and alignment - not presentation style.

3. How long does it take?

The total response time is up to 5 minutes.

It is designed to be short, focused, and respectful of your time.

You can:

  • Pause between questions

  • Re-record your answers

  • Complete it at any time within the indicated timeframe

4. Why do we include this step?

This step allows us to:

  • Review your goals in advance

  • Prepare personalised follow-up questions

  • Avoid covering basic information during the interview

  • Use live interview time efficiently

  • Ensure a consistent and fair admissions process

Because we prepare beforehand, the interview becomes more meaningful and targeted.
