In what cases can I lose my scholarship, and what happens then?

Read this article to understand what might happen if you lose your scholarship to Turing College, and why you might lose it to begin with.

Our scholarship terms are designed to attract dedicated learners who are passionate about tech careers. To keep your scholarship, here are a few things to keep in mind.

Scholarship conditions

Job search and hiring conditions

During your studies and for one month after you graduate, you’ll need to inform Turing College before applying to any company (including our hiring partners). This way, we can give you personalized advice and support to help you find the perfect opportunity. One month after graduation, you’re free to apply anywhere without checking with us.

If one of our hiring partners offers you a job that meets your expectations (we'll provide you with the salary range beforehand), we expect you to accept it unless you have a good reason not to. An example of a good reason would be you accepting another offer from a hiring partner or some unexpected requirements like relocation being added to the offer.

Keeping up with your learning pace

We believe in you and want to see you graduate from Turing College in a reasonable amount of time. To make that happen, we've set up a minimum learning pace. For example, if you receive a 100% scholarship for the Data Analytics program, your learning speed should not be slower than completing a sprint in 3 weeks on average. That way, you can complete 3 modules in 9 months.

Scholarship termination and repayment

Violating one of these conditions will lead to the termination of your scholarship. If that happens, you will need to return the full amount of the scholarship you have received.

If you lose your scholarship, you must cover a part of the total tuition fee, depending on when you lost it. For example, in the Data Analytics program, 12 months equals 100% of the tuition fee. If your scholarship is terminated after two months, you’ll need to return a portion of the scholarship equal to two monthly installment payments, which amounts to 1,080 EUR (2/12 of the full price).
